Introduction to Nymity

Target Audience: This training session is ideal for individuals who are new to Nymity or looking for a general refresher of the compliance research and software tools.

Session Description: Understand the variety of compliance tools that will keep you informed of new laws and expectations set in case law and regulatory actions. Learn how to do research to identify legal requirements, expectations and best-practices when creating or maintaining policies and procedures that involve the collection, use or disclosure of personal information. Learn how to use the available resources to build and maintain effective privacy programs including an easy-to-use privacy newsletter generator. Plus, there is an introduction to an accountability reporting tool that allows you to document the status of your privacy program.

Advanced Training: Accountability Reporting

Target Audience: This training session is ideal for individuals interested in privacy program reporting, privacy assessments, demonstrating accountability, showing due-diligence, reporting to regulators, GAPP, and the Privacy Maturity Model.

Session Description: In this session you will learn how to use the Nymity Accountability Reporting Tool, now included in your Nymity subscription, to baseline your privacy program today (or historically) in a format that can be presented to management, either for planning purposes or used after a breach to show your privacy program due-diligence. If using it for planning, you can include the option to document future goals. Learn how to create a status report (assertion) in a short period of time (1.5 hours) or use it as a structured reporting tool for your privacy assessments. Consider different reporting structures including departmental, jurisdictional or by process. It can also be configured for risk reporting.

This session will also provide an understanding of the reporting power of the Privacy Maturity Model from the AICPA/CICA which is the underlying privacy framework used by the Nymity Accountability Reporting tool. Learn why reporting based on maturity model is flexible and scalable.

Advanced Research Training
Step 1: Reference Research

Target Audience: This training session is ideal for individuals that conduct research to stay informed of new and old compliance requirements and expectations as well as individuals who need resources to build and maintain an effective privacy program.

Session Description: Learn about the variety of research tools to keep you informed of the latest compliance expectations. Learn how to best use the over 5000 compliance References that provide a structured analysis of the compliance risks and controls necessary to create and maintain an effective privacy program.

Advanced Research Training
Step 2: Rules Research

Target Audience: This training session is ideal for individuals that review laws for compliance purposes.

Session Description: Know what rules apply to your specific compliance needs. This training session will show you how to quickly identify rules from laws, regulations, codes and standards based on your requirements. This session is ideal for individuals that study laws for compliance purposes as it is a tool originally built for law firms and is also used by many subscribers who require in-depth knowledge of the laws.
